Primeboy known in real life as Owodunni Ibrahim, is a Nigerian singer and songwriter. He was a childhood friend of late Nigerian singer Ilerioluwa Aloba also known as Mohbad. The relationship between the two was more than friendship.
Prime Boy and Mohbad were both signed to the same record label, Marlian Music, at the time of Mohbad’s death in September 2023. However, Mohbad left the label a couple of months ago prior to his death. Some people thought Prime Boy and Mohbad were blood brothers due the closeness between them.
On September 12, 2023, Ilerioluwa Aloba alias Mohbad was found lifeless in his Lagos apartment under bizarre circumstances. Reports indicated that he had been involved in an altercation with Primeboy prior his death. This has kept Prime Boy in the news for some days now. Prime Boy has denied all the allegations levelled against him.
On September 14, 2023, the Lagos State Police Command declared Primeboy wanted. It is alleged that he played a role in Mohbad’s death. The police have accused Primeboy of refusing to honor their invitation to assist with investigations.
Primeboy has released a tribute song to Mohbad, titled “Tribute to Mohbad.” The song was released on September 25, 2023. Whether Prime Boy has a hand in Mohbad’s death or not, it is yet to be determined by the police.
